Blackbird Café owner Jude Robinson took the term “go west” quite literally. After being away for many years, she returned to Inverness, CA in 2011 to open a café and art house that would contribute the community. Housed in an old Victorian building and former general store, Blackbird Café serves TMF coffee along with locally made pastries and simple organic fare. On life in Tomales Bay, Robinson says “the connection to the tide, the ever changing moods of the light and the many varieties of birds and wildlife that inhabit the shores make Inverness warm, peaceful and uncomplicated.” Open Monday- Saturday: 7a-5p, Sundays: 8a-6p. 12781 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, Inverness, CA.
